Onesie Craft Party!

On a recent Sunday afternoon, we got together with a few lovely ladies to craft.  A custom designed onesie was the project of the day and let me tell you, the babies who will receive these fashionable threads are in for a treat!  As it turns out, snacks + crafts + plus a little vino = FUN.  Planning a baby shower? Give us a call or send us an email, we would love to provide a craft for the special day!

Come Visit us at the Carroll Park Flea Market! Saturday, June 2nd, 10am-5pm

We are so excited to be a part of the upcoming Carroll Park Flea Market!  We will be making adorable Metrocard holders, (great for credit cards and business cards too!), from all types of recycled cardboard.  Just choose your design, (Tony the Tiger? Coco Pebbles? the lovely Land o’ Lakes lady? post cards from Dollywood?), and we will create a durable one of a kind card cozy. This craft is great for all ages, so be sure to bring the whole family!

Carroll Park is Located on Carroll Street between Court and Smith in Carroll Gardens Brooklyn. Take the F or G train to Carroll.  The market will take place in Valentino ball field, closer to Court Street. If it is raining on Saturday, the market will take place on Sunday June 3rd instead. Thanks and we hope to see you there!

Wrapping up 2011 With a Crafty Bang!

November and December were  full of festivities here at the craft farm!  From a Katy Perry robot trash can, to a t-shirt portraying one octopus’s fondness for the guitar, to an appliqued tote bag with the lovely message  dog + bone = LOVE….we were consistently amazed by the creativity of our local Brooklyn kids. We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season, and look forward to seeing you in the new year!

Happy Halloween!

Trick out your house this Halloween with these crafty ghosts!

Here’s our holiday how to:

1. Cut out squares of white fabric, (or just use an old white t- shirt). Our squares ranged in size from 10″-14″ and we used pinking sheers for a decorative edge.

2. Place a bit of cotton batting in the center of the square, (this will be the head).  If you don’t have batting just use some scrap white fabric,  paper towel, or tissue.

3. Wrap the fabric around the batting and secure with a ribbon or yarn tied into a stylish ghost bow tie.

4. Glue on some trusty google eyes.

5. String ghosts together with fishing line, (or any thread you have on hand), using a needle and hang your new pals over a ceiling lamp. Voila, cuteness!

Fun With Modpodge

A few things we learned at our decoupage class:

1. Napoleons’ favorite dish was Chicken Marengo (thank you 1956 Woman’s Day!)

2. Katina and Molly prefer to call decoupage decolletage

3. Adults like google eyes too!

Sophia’s Spectacular Bday Party!

Loulou and I had a blast last weekend at Sophia’s birthday party! These gals made some amazing bags and coin purses to match! Shall we refer to the party as “tote bag heaven”? I think so. Plus their DIY jigsaw puzzles were frame worthy! It was definitely a good day at the craft farm:

Robot Trash Can Birthday Party!

We had such a great time last weekend helping the ever so crafty Olivia celebrate her big number 5!  Check out the robotic utopia that she and her pals created:

Monster Mash!

Monster masks, monster wallets, monster purses, monster magnets….You name it, these girls made it!  Ladies and gentleman it’s official, google eyes really do make everything better!
